A few months ago, I started tutoring students in math and writing Python and R scripts that broke more often than they worked. Now, I’m a machine learning engineer helping others break through the fog of code and concepts.

This blog is a new kind of classroom for me—a space where I reflect, explain, and grow through practice and writing.

From Math to Machine Learning

It’s common to feel like you’re not yet where you want to be. But sharing where you are, how you got here, and where you’re headed can keep you grounded—and maybe even help someone else who’s on a similar path.

I started off in high school simply determined not to fail at math. But by the time I was finishing, curiosity had taken over. I decided to study mathematics in undergrad—and that’s where it all opened up for me.

In university, math became my life. I found joy in solving problems, and I fell in love with theoretical physics. But as graduation approached, I began to look around me—to see what others were doing with their love for math. I realized I wanted more than just sitting behind books or standing behind a board.

I wanted to use math and logic to build something, to contribute to something that could actually change lives.

That’s when I found data.

It’s the one field I entered and never looked back. It allowed me to explore, build, teach, and learn all at once. And even now, I’m still in the middle of that journey—still discovering who I’m becoming.

But if there’s one thing I know for sure: I’m one step closer than I was yesterday.

What This Blog Is About

Here’s what you’ll find here:

  • My thoughts on coding, teaching, and tech
  • Step-by-step explanations of things I once found confusing
  • Reflections on how I move through challenges in code and in career
  • Insights from projects in AI, data science, and education

Whether you’re coming from a non-CS background, teaching others, or just figuring things out—I hope this space helps you feel less alone.
